YOUR DOG WILL WORK ON:

  • Whistle communication- “whoa”, direction changes, recall

  • Tactile release

  • Hunting independently

  • Steady to flush

  • Steady to shot

  • Retrieve to hand

  • Live birds

BUILD THE HUNT THROUGH OBEDIENCE, RELATIONSHIP, AND COMMUNICATION.

Obedience comes first.

We establish: Here, Heel, Stand, Quartering (come with me), and Whoa while developing reliable responses both on and off leash.

Once the foundation is established, we introduce your dog to live bobwhite quail, allowing us to begin developing natural hunting behaviors while maintaining communication and control.

​

Gunfire is introduced gradually and thoughtfully, with the goal of building confidence around the sound of a gun in the field.

​

We incorporate e-collar training to improve communication and reinforce behaviors the dog has already learned.

For a more versatile, responsive dog, we can also do water introduction and swimming with the foundation to continue developing as an versatile hunting partner.
